Mardean Isaac is a writer and editor. He was born in London to Assyrian parents from Iraq and Iran. He graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in English literature, and from Oxford University with a degree in Syriac Studies. His writing has appeared in The Awl, The Blizzard, the Financial Times, Lapham’s Quarterly, Tablet magazine, the Times Literary Supplement and elsewhere. He is essays editor at BRICK magazine. Based in London, he is working on a novel, and regularly releases essays.
